COUNTRY MUSIC STAR TIM MCGRAW GYM TOUR
One of the best-selling music artists of all time has picked Escape Fitness to help fuel his fitness dream and keep him in shape. Country music star Tim McGraw has sold more than 80 million records around the world, and he knows the importance of creating your vision when designing any gym.
He also knows how important it is to stay fit. Tim’s been on screen in television and film, and has released Grit & Grace, his book on how to train the mind, train the body and own your life. Yes, it’s also the guy that Taylor Swift wrote a song about, too.
Tim gave Men’s Health a look around his workout space, TRUMAV Fitness. Featuring functional fitness essentials such as an Escape HTS frame, Corebags, TIYR and Plyosoft boxes, this is what it takes to stay at the top of your game for every tour.

How often does Tim McGraw work out?
So what’s the secret behind staying in shape for stage and screen? It’s more than just celebrity exercise trends and ab workouts.
“I try to work out every day. I don’t really plan on days off, although I learned a little more moderation as I’ve got older as it takes a little longer to recover,” Tim McGraw explained, speaking to Men’s Health in the US.
“Probably my favourite of the workout? I start every morning with either a 30-minute or an hour walk on the treadmill.”
From there, Tim explains how his range of functional fitness movements and stretches helps him not only stay fit day-to-day but also move in new ways on-stage.

Tim continues: “At 52 years old you’ve got to do the things you’ve got to do to get your body warmed up and going so you don’t pull anything or hurt anything or injure yourself. The last thing I want to do is to injure myself so I can’t perform or I can’t continue to work out.
“When I’m on the road it’s a little different. I’ll get up every morning; I have a gym on the road. It’s a trailer that I carry with me. Right before lunch we usually go into the stadium and do our outdoor version of CrossFit, usually centered around battle ropes. We set up four or five different workouts, like push, pull, upper body, lower body kind of things.
“That’s key to working out – finding what works for you, what motivates you and what’s well within your limits that you can do, and then constantly pushing yourself a little bit.”
